Saskia Young

Executive Director

Saskia Young has worked in the government affairs arena in Colorado since 2007, culminating with her current role as Executive Director of the Colorado Association of Health Plans. Prior to joining CAHP, Saskia served as a Regional Policy Manager, Western Region, for Amazon where she created and executed state and local government affairs objectives over a five-state region. Before that Saskia served as the principal of her lobbying firm, Young Public Affairs, founded in 2015, and as the Vice President of Government and Public Relations for the multi state cannabis company, LivWell Enlightened Health. As a contract lobbyist, Saskia represented clients at the Colorado State Capitol and state executive agencies on diverse matters, including health insurance, Medicaid, general business issues, title insurance, and affordable housing. In her role as Vice President of Government and Public Relations at LivWell, Saskia handled state and local advocacy matters for both Colorado and Michigan, the company’s external communications, and corporate social responsibility efforts. Prior to founding her firm, Saskia served as the legislative liaison for the Colorado Department of Revenue, which provided her the opportunity to understand the inside workings of state government.

Brandon Arnold

Associate Director

Brandon was appointed Associate Director of the Colorado Association of Health Plans
in April 2021. He works to represent the health plans to deliver a unified voice for
achieving a competitive and affordable health care marketplace in Colorado. Brandon
previously worked in the Colorado General Assembly, serving as the Policy Director for
then-Representative James Coleman, and continued to serve as Chief of Staff for
Senator James Coleman. Brandon grew up in Elizabeth, Colorado and attended the
Denver Center for International Studies for high school. Brandon earned his Bachelor’s
Degrees in Philosophy (with distinction) and Political Science from the University of
Denver, and continued at the University of Denver to earn his Juris Doctorate degree.
