The NBSTSA was established in 1974 as the professional certifying for surgical technologists and surgical assistants, both allied health professions that serve in the operating room. In 2005, the NBSTSA relocated its national headquarters to Littleton, Colorado. Mr. Price previously served for 10 years as Government Affairs Director with the Association of Surgical Technologists. Said Price, "The timing was right for this new opportunity that will allow me to continue my work supporting patient protection and high quality care."
The CAHP board has formed a committee to lead the search for a new CAHP leader, and will be broadening that search in the next month, with the intention of announcing a new leader as quickly as possible. CAHP leadership has named Sara Orrange Interim Executive Director, and have every confidence in her skills and abilities to move CAHP forward.
"The board is grateful for Ben's nearly seven years of service to the association, where he worked tirelessly on our behalf during a time of tremendous change and transition for our health system and consumers," said Mike Ramseier, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and board chair of the Colorado Association of Health Plans. "As the Board Chair, I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Ben and witnessed his tenacity, intellect and deep policy knowledge. On behalf of the board, we not only want to thank Ben for his service but offer our congratulations as he begins his next chapter."
